Concord, MA Family Session |Boston Family Photographer

Before I start blabbing about how much I looooved this adorable little session from last month, I’m going to start by giving myself a big ol’ pat on the back. And not for the pictures I took, but for doing a REALLY freaking good job of not overbooking myself this fall. Like, a really damn good job. Tremendous, in fact (are you sick of the election yet?!). Last fall my husband complained that he never saw me because I was always knee-deep in editing, and that was a fair enough assessment. I never saw anyone or anything because I was averaging 4-5 sessions a weekend and 1-2 sessions during the week, and while that is NORMAL for full-time photographers in October and November, I have a full-time teaching job. This fall rolled around and I really stuck to my “I-will-not-overbook-myself” guns, though it was HARD at times because I really, really hate turning away repeat clients :(. But, I have to remain sane, and I have a new teaching job this year, anddddd I never want to get to the point where I dread going to sessions because I’ve booked too many.

That being said, I thought I was pretty much killing this whole work/life balance thing until approximately today, when I realized that thanks to Mother Nature and her endless supply of rain in October, my November is shaping up to look a lot like fall of 2015 (jam-packed with sessions due to all of the rescheduling I had to do from October). I’ve got 5 ahead of me this weekend, but I’m feeling pretty well-rested and ready to conquer the crap out of the next couple of days.

Now, back to this family. Omgooooodness. They were adorable, and Old North Bridge in Concord was looking mighty fine on this (rare) nice October day we had! Between the warm fall colors and this little guy’s sweet baby blues, I was pretty much in photog heaven. I hope you enjoy this collection of images as much as I do!

WELCOME

Oh hey! I’m Melissa, a Boston family & newborn photographer, but I like to refer to myself as a toddler-whispering, child-taming, photographic ninja.
