Every once in awhile I’ll splurge on a really cute dress or shirt from Anthropologie or somewhere equally overpriced,
and every time I do, no one over comments on my clothing that cost three times more than it probably should have. Fortunately I only do this once a year or so. BUT every damn time I buy something for 20 or 30 bucks from Target, boom, everyone tells me how cute my outfit is. Go figure. SO when this family showed up to their session impeccably dressed and I spent the first 10 minutes swooning over mom’s dress, I really shouldn’t have been surprised when she told me it was from…Target (For the record, I went and tried on the same dress a few weeks later and it looked TERRIBLE on me, so way to rock it, Danielle).
My intention here isn’t really to ramble, but to make the point that clothing really does matter for photo sessions (just look at how great she looks!), but you DON’T need to spend a gazillion dollars outfitting yourself for your shoot. I am more than happy to help you scour the internet in search of just the right budget-friendly clothing options for the whole fam. In fact, I WANT to. So please never be afraid to send me links!
